That really surprises me. The Toronto Sun is usually better then that.
Why was there a link to a Toronto Sun image being hosted over at the Globe & Fail ?.
If a female MP from another party - say, the Liberals - was being compared to a dog, there would be screams of indignation and accusations of sexism. But a Tory MP? The silence is deafening.
Yeah, except this time the referring to her as a dog may be appropriate (though unfair to dogs). Seems she is now being investigated by both the RCMP and the Ethics Commissioner. Harper has also kicked her out of Caucus. While nothing concrete has been released, it would seem she let her husband user her office and letterhead to conduct his private, commercial business. That is deffo a no no.
I like the CPC, but if one of em is dirty, then to hell with that person. I am reserving judgment until more is known, but it is not looking good for Ms. Guergis.

I don't think the two issues are evenly comparable Neo. Regardless, the Sun should issue an appology.
In the first case it was a on MP insulting another MP while sitting the house.
This case is a tabloid news rag that the made the insult. Ignoring that the Toronto Sun is seen as a conservative newspaper (actual it is more worker/union readers with right editorial that loves to be at the muck raker level)
So the case here should be the public/voters slagging the Toronto Sun such an insulting comparison.
One thing I can't help but noticing is that that this doggie-dog comparison seems to allow on very important issue to slip by,... we don't even know what the RCMP/Ethics Board is investigating her for.
It was serious enough for Harper to remove her from Cabnet and Causus, and that is not something Harper does lightly.
