Engravings on the monument include phrases such as: “Freedom is a light for which many men have died in darkness.”

Actor-comedian Ricky Gervais viciously trolled Hollywood celebrities just hours ahead of Sunday’s Academy Awards, preemptively deflating their self-important acceptance speeches in a series of humorous tweets.

Gervais’s Oscars trolling was in response to a hypothetical question posed to him on Twitter asking what jokes he would make if he were hosting the Oscars tonight.

CORNWALL, Ont. - An eastern Ontario city is facing a human rights complaint over its policy prohibiting women and girls 10 and older from being topless in municipal pools.

The mayor says the woman who launched the gender discrimination complaint doesn't live in Cornwall or the surrounding region.

The complaint also targets an eastern Ontario water park and seven hotel companies.
