Rest in Pieces

Some days you eat the bear... some days the bear cores you like an apple...

The man identified as Ahmed al-Obeidi was killed in the northern province of Nineveh, Iraqi military spokesman Maj Gen Qassim al-Moussawi said.

The news comes the day after the government announced two leading insurgents had been killed.

Believe it or not Neo, there was a successor to Saddam as leader of the Ba'ath party and "President of Iraq" - Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri.

There's doubly bad news for Izzat: a) Nobody cares about the Ba'athist insurgents anymore. b) He's outlived the average live expectancy of an Iraqi and is pushing the south end of 60 years of age.

i've gotta believe that even some jacked up goat herder is gonna notice more & more of his buddies are missing at the quarterly jihadi congress meeting.

of course, we're talking about folks who routinely strap explosives to their women & kids and use them as tools of war.

maybe they're not smart enough to ever end this thing.
