The case of the magical, disappearing...

...hookers, mobsters and blow...
In an incredible display of glowing nuclear hypocrisy, the smarmy socialists are apparently now attempting to channel Mr Dressup...

Liberal MP Mark Holland said the committee needs to stay away from allegations related to personal conduct.
Hmmm... sounds like somebody didn't get the memo...
-- OTTAWA -- Michael Ignatieff is drawing a link between disgraced former cabinet minister Helena Guergis and organized crime.

“I don’t want to make false accusations but you don’t get cocaine at a corner drug store, right? You have to get it from somewhere, from someone and usually that means organized crime.”
Funny how that works, huh?

Iggy STILL can't read the writing on the wall.
He is hopelessly obtuse.
"The NDP is increasingly distancing itself from the Guergis affair, perhaps sensing that the public is turned off by the sordid allegations. Not Mr. Ignatieff, however."
This from the main link "hookers, mobsters and blow", on the right side in red titled:-
Question Period: PM shrugs off 'smokescreen of secrecy' around Guergis scandal

what i can't get over... is mark "the mouth" holland... a dancing bear who would kneecap his own grandmother for a thirty second soundbite on ctv... having the gall to toss out weasel words about restraint.

there's a monty python moment.

So as the link to Holland noted ..."perhaps he has decided to turn this affair into an opportunity to demonstrate his qualifications as a future leadership candidate'.
Is this the first indication of division in the Lib. ranks over what Iggy is doing?

"rich says... demonstrate his qualifications"

good grief... holland is one of the few fiberals who is actually more smarmy & objectionable than iggy.

Uh, Neo, the next Fiberal leader _MUST_ be a francophone (can't underline it enough).

And - as I said earlier - it's fascinating to me that the NDP won't follow the Grit lemmings over the cliff.

yup... commie jack layton thinks you're over the top... that's almost never a good sign.

otoh... iggy's not exactly the saltiest anchovy on the slice, is he?

This is what I think is going through Iggy's head: 1.) this is 1990-1993, 2.) the scandals will pile up on the government like they did for Brian "the Chin" Mulroney, 3.) the Grits will be elected in a landslide by being "squeaky-clean" with a book-full of empty promises.

Fat chance - as the PM learned his tricks from the master, Don Chretien.
