Mayor's office, once again...

...curiously reluctant to reveal which gun club the shooter belonged to...
A man in his 20s became Toronto’s 46th homicide victim in 2009 after a shooting last night in busy Greektown.

Toronto Police Staff Sergeant David Vickers said officers responded to a call reporting the sound of gunshots at 7:50 p.m. at an address on Gough Avenue, northwest of the intersection of Pape and Danforth avenues.

UPDATE: Latest homicide victim identified
Shot dead near a busy east-side intersection Monday evening, Toronto's newest homicide victim of the year had gang ties, a history of drug and gun offences and was well known to police and security staff in the Regent Park housing project.

Theodoros Tiku, a resident of Regent Park after his family immigrated to Canada from Somalia, collapsed on the curb near Pape and Danforth avenues after being shot at least once in what appeared to be a targeted attack.
