Another CBC sob-story

Now... and I'm just spitballin' here... how about we save stuff like vaccine for hardworkin', law-abiding, taxpayin' citizens... who actually give a shit about whether they live or die?

Jones said the prison environment itself makes it tough to introduce health measures that would be common in any office.

For instance, convicts have figured out a way to distill the alcohol in hand sanitizers so they can drink it, he said. As well, such things as door handles and bars are constantly handled.
And don't give me this equal treatment malarkey... there's no freakin' way Paul Bernardo or Clifford Olsen deserves better treatment than anybody's Granny.

The greater issue is how do you manage serious illness in a prison. The infirmaries are small. If you need to send a prisoner to a hospital due to the flue, you basically need to assign about 5 guards to provide the 24x7 supervision required while they are out of the prison.

as much as I don't like it, from a purely management and cost avoidance stand-point it does make sense.

then we rejig the system. first of all... no more perks. no computers, no tv's... no weight pile.

as for the rest, if the resources aren't there, then tough shit... they wait... just like the rest of us.

you screw up and violate the social contract... you take your lumps.

and maybe they can ponder mending their ways while they sit in line.

"and maybe they can ponder mending their ways while they sit in line."

Better yet, while they sit in their own filth.

this is simple triage.

it's like that whole spend billions on degenerate junkies thing.

negative... no fuckin' way.

the health care system is collapsing... how about we shift resources over to people who actually give a shit if they live or die?
