Bright lights, big city...

...bangin' street justice...
Homicide cops remained tight-lipped yesterday on the beating death of a Don Jail inmate as they prepared to interview dozens of potential witnesses.

Jeff Munro, 32, of Toronto, died after he was beaten "hands and fist," near the cells inside the Gerrard St. E. jail, just before 8 p.m. Saturday, Toronto Police acting Det.-Sgt. Wayne Banks said yesterday.
And hey... here's one for the ladies...
It was about 8:30 p.m. on Friday that three gun-toting, balaclava-clad attackers forced their way into an apartment, near Markham Rd. and Lawrence Ave. E., and confronted four female friends, ranging in age from 17 to 41.

Errol Carmichael, 23, was found at the hotel. Jamel Elwood, 26, was found at a Kingston Rd. address. Both were charged with forcible confinement, wearing a disguise, kidnapping, forcible entry, unlawfully in a dwelling and several gun-related charges.
No word yet from Mayor Miller's office... on which gun club they belonged to.
