I'm pretty sure you mean...

...Dalton McGuinty... right?

One of the private clinics attracting comment on Saturday was Medcan, on York St. in Toronto's financial district.

It received 3,000 vaccines from Toronto Public Health on Friday afternoon even as lineups at public clinics snaked around blocks and people were being turned away.

Ontario (Liberal) Health Minister Deb Matthews said the decision to supply private clinics will be under review after the pandemic passes.

This is a good thing. The logistics of getting out the vaccine to millions of people is a nightmare. Especially given that it must be reconstituted and has a short shelf life.

Its not as if we have a surplus of nurses and doctors in the province who can drop everything and run out to man public clinics, so why not make use of every large community clinic that has multiple staff.

My doctor shares a clinic with about 15 other doctors and has a massive clinic, nurses, nurse practitioners etc. They also have about 20000 patients. So I have no issue with them getting the stocks as they have the resources to store, reconstitute and administer it. That's 20000 people that don't need to clog the public clinics.

read slower... the point here isn't a wider dissemination of the vaccine... it's the gratuitous and, i might add, nonsensical attack on stephen harper.

despite all his propaganda... private, for fee, medical clinics are being run under dalton's nose.

he gave them the vaccine. the least he can do is take credit.

I think that part of the problem that Neo is addressing is the confusion that the general public has regarding which level of government is responsible for what.

Under the Constitution, the provinces are responsible for the delivery of health care. But many people still blame the feds.
