Just another 30 year...

...rush to justice...

The only known Canadian on death row in the United States has exhausted his final chance for appeal. Albertan Smith, 52, is facing a death sentence in Montana for the 1982 execution-style shooting of two men.

When Smith pleaded guilty and was convicted in 1983, he told the judge he wanted to be executed rather than face 110 years in jail.

He has since changed his mind and has been fighting the sentence since 1984.
Well, don't give up hope just yet, Ronnie... the Liberal Party of Canada is still slogging away on your behalf.

Lost his last appeal and will soon face a rescheduling of his execution in Utah.
And just because he wanted to know what if felt like to kill someone.
