Bright lights, big city...

...never a gun registry around... when you really need it...

Toronto police are investigating a double shooting that occurred near Christie subway station Wednesday afternoon, one that has left two people wounded.

Toronto EMS said they have transported one male, estimated to be in his mid-20s, to a trauma centre for treatment of a serious gunshot wound to his arm. A second male patient had their head grazed by a bullet. He has been taken to hospital.

Bloor Street West has been closed to traffic between Christie and Shaw Streets while police investigate.
No word yet from Mayor Miller's office... which gun club the shooters belonged to.

Peel police want Nepaul McMorris, 22, is wanted for attempt murder in connection with Monday's shooting of a 19-year-old Mississauga man on Dundas St. east of Hurontario St.

McMorris is known to police, for firearm convictions.
I guess the gun registry was broke that day, huh?

LAST WORD: The GTA... never a dull moment
Homicide detectives need help in identifying four men considered suspects in the weekend stabbing murder of a Newmarket man.

York homicide detectives released Thursday the surveillance images of the suspects wanted in the slaying of Vandin Svay and the wounding of a 24-year-old man following the fight that erupted during a Cambodian community function at a banquet hall in a Markham mall.

Legitimate gun owners don't do this kind of thing, it was probably some crazed whacko drug dealing punk from Toronto! ( http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/wanted-recherches/mur-meu/bax-eng.htm )

i can only imagine the police are feverishly combing the "long gun registry" preparatory to rounding up local farmers, duck hunters and skeet shooters for intensive interrogation.
