Once again... Canada steps up...

-- SHANGHAI -- Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon says he will call for the release of jailed Nobel Peace Prize winner Liu Xiaobo when he meets the Chinese foreign minister in Beijing Friday.

Cannon said that when he meets Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, he will point to Prime Minister Stephen Harper's statement calling for Liu's release that was issued on the day the award was announced.

Or, I guess... you could be a little more direct... like this gentleman in the VOA comments...

I dislike Liu Xiaobao without reasons. And I don't know why the West experts award the Nobel Peace Prize to him. I guess the only reason is because they hate China and its people.

Yeah, Chen... that's gotta be the reason.
