-- KABUL -- Eight foreign medical workers, including "several""Americans, were killed by gunmen in Afghanistan's remote northeast, police and officials said on Saturday, with the attack claimed by the Taliban.Once again, the savage, capricious and unknowable Will of Allah.
A Christian aid group said it appeared those killed were members of one of its mobile eye clinics which had been traveling in northeastern Nuristan province and was headed back for Kabul after providing eye care for local Afghans.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the killings and accused the medical workers of proselytising Christianity.

It's maddening to see how many people support the Khadrs..
I see in the G&M comments that many people plainly choose not to believe that they could have done anything wrong despite evidence to the contrary and that the Khadrs are victims of the west and the Americans in particular.
How did so many of our citizens get turned into being supporters of the enemy? Why are they so blinded to the fact that there are those in our midst who wish us harm?
Most judges in Canada have their positions because they BJ'd their way through the Liberal Party.
"BUT, but but the Canadian Bar Assocition said they were a fine choice!" What do you expect the bar association to say? Do you think they will bad mouth someone who they will appear before in a future case? "Sure I called you a no good moron but please consider and rule on my motion in this case"
