Actually, if you had one before the cut-off date in 1975 (when that bastard Trudeau passed his own series of laws), you're allowed to keep it, you're just not allowed to SHOOT it anymore, because those bastards Chretien and Rock decided they weren't going to issue the special permits to transport that this class requires. This is not only age discrimination, but the REAL reason Turdeau didn't ban them outright was that he knew that any court (even a pet LIEberal court) would say that their owners would therefore have to be compensated for their lawfully-owned property, so he just said "Let them keep them, and when they die, we'll get them anyway", JUST LIKE Chretien and Rock did with the 25/32/<105mm handguns.
