Like what, Lizzie...

...your strident & unapologetic cheerleading... for folks who are blowing up our soldiers?

-- TORONTO -- “This is not the same country that I've known. We are seeing changes that are so deeply dangerous and they are fundamental to the very fabric of our democracy, and we must not let that happen,” May said.
Un-freakin'-believable.

UPDATE: What exactly are the Greenies proposing...

...to return us to "the Canada that Lizzie knew"?
The motion called for the party to push to decriminalize “polyamorous” relationships where people are intimately involved and living with more than one partner.

Party members in a workshop session on Saturday voted to send the idea to the full party plenary where everyone could debate and vote on it.

Those who spoke in favour said the party should treat it as a human rights issue, just as they did with same-sex marriage rights.
PS -- Apparently the delegates came to their senses... and voted this one down.

But tell me... honestly... could the Green Party really speak for you?

Like Chretien and Trudeau were such bottom-up, listen to the little people, leaders of their party.

Loopy Lizzie is correct about one thing: this is not the Canada I grew up in. Of course, being from a generation that is older than Ms. May and her "progressive" buddies my opinion is that it is because of people like her and Trudeau and Chretien that have changed things for the worse.

This is the truth, when I see Elizabeth May or hear her voice, I throw up, I literally throw up. It don't matter if I'm home or driving the car down the road, I just throw up. Thanks

Lizzie May is a simpleton who really has no idea what she is talking about. Democracy? Her party doesn't want her. Why not do what the people in your party want...resign and let someone else with more credibilty take the reins. She will never win a seat in the Commons.
Harper is using the tools available to him as PM. This is like any other PM. However, he is being more successful at exercising those powers even though he is in a minority goverment situation because the opposition lacks credibility and is weak. As long as the Libs run with Ignatieff the Libs will not win an election, even a minority government.
The left doesn't like it one bit as Harper slowly but surely begins to dismantle the nanny state. Appointments that have set terms are not appointments for life. A change brings new perspectives, new ideas etc. Harper will continue to manage his government as he sees fit regardless of the vociferous left wing media in this country who think they are in perpetual opposition as David Akin so "eloquently" put it. No balance required according to him. Its just opposition all the time.

Ms Lizzy also said
'Stephen Harper's environment policy being a worse appeasement than Chamberlain's appeasement of the Nazis'

She says outrageous things to get media attention.

May says bureaucrats are scared of the government, pointing to former Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission head Linda Keen, who was fired after shutting down the Chalk River nuclear reactor.

To some extent, the bureaucrats SHOULD be scared of the government as between the two of them, only the government suffers the consequences of the bureaucrat's actions.

And to be realistic, if Canada were a true democracy, news coverage of Liz and Jack would be somewhere around Page a-15 of the newspapers and 5 seconds a week on TV.

And kick myself in the groin. This twit won't even follow her party's constitution, how can I expect her to follow my country's constitution?

Ms. May laments..
"the Harper government have fundamentally changed democracy in Canada."
"changes that are so deeply dangerous and they are fundamental to the very fabric of our democracy".

IOW.. what she means is...
It's because of Harper, that she now has to use the FEAR of a possible election
to (suspend) Green Party DEMOCRACY, which demands a leadership review.

Who is it again thats a danger to democracy Ms. May..???
Typical Liberal hypocracy on display.!

We need to start the campaign now to keep this idiotic leader out of any debates. Unless she wants to debate iggy or layton one on one.

well, mary... i'm not sure the liberals and the greenies are far enough apart on these issues to actually have a debate...

"After the fascinating policy round-table on teenage anal sex, the up and coming moonbat wannabes' started handing out party favours."

Lizzie is probably thinking that the green elected in AU will make all the decisions to get her support.
Who thinks/believes that lizzie would not cross the floor to libs/ndp on the first day. What has any lone mp of a party had a chance to speak, ask a question or do anything except collect a huge cheque and work towards a pension. Think Helena, Garth, those 2 independants from Que.
She would go to the highest bidder, and demand a cabinet seat in any coalition. The next election she is already a candidate in a riding, which she will lose. Or is she talking about the one after that one.
How can green voters across Canada work to get her elected. Are they all going to move to the riding.

hollinm sez "Harper is using the tools available to him as PM. This is like any other PM."

And who started the trend of centralizing power in the PMO? Ms. May's hero of "The Way Canada Was", Pierre Elliott Trudeau.

Stephen Harper is using some of the executive powers that PET gave him, and the left doesn't like it!
