Mr Iggy Roboto digs deep

The real joke here is... they all like to say that Ignatieff is... "the smart one"...

On the final day of his cross-country tour, Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff thundered over a quip Prime Minister Stephen Harper made at the end of an ATV joyride last week in the Arctic.

Harper, in Tuktoyaktuk, N.W.T., on Thursday raced up and down an airport runway on a borrowed all-terrain vehicle. One reporter asked him if he needed a licence and he replied, “I think I make the rules.”

The Liberals are now working that event into Ignatieff’s stump speech.
No personality AND no sense of humour.

I think it's time for an oil, lube & filter.

IGGYMANIA UPDATE: Come back Stephane...

...all is forgiven...
Michael Ignatieff's summer-long, cross-country bus tour has given a modest boost to Liberal fortunes but done little to improve the Opposition Leader's popularity, a new poll suggests.

However, 54 per cent of respondents still registered an unfavourable view of Mr. Ignatieff, compared to only 29 per cent who had a positive view of the leader.

He is by far the least-popular federal leader.

Faux outrage = "politics is theatre". Humour is only OK if Grits do it.

PS: I think the PM learned to ATV while visiting the in-laws at the Teskey ranch.

'He is by far the least-popular federal leader.'

That's what happens when the entire country is forced to watch Iffy go thru his 'on the job training'.

He went from zero% in 2005, to 14% in 2010.
Another 10 years, and he could just about be at the 50% mark!

Albert Einstein: "Any fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius--and a lot of courage--to move in the opposite direction."

Ignatieff is petty and is trying to convince everyone he is the smartest man in the room.

We saw this pattern when asked about the PM do the Beatles, Layton praised the PM performance.

JW - forget ATV's: the Teskeys have tanks!!

The funny thing about these quotes from Iggy are that for once, he actually used the word "we" instead of I, I, I and me, me, me!

I suppose when taking a simple joke literally and trying to scare the public that Harper let his true intentions show and will declaring himself emperor soon, he needs people with him. W

Not a fan of Rita, and now never will be. Have never watched her on tv or bought a record.
How many km did iggy travel. Not many when you consider the kms between provinces and across Canada. How many kms between oil changes for the bus, did anyone ever see it on the highway going from place to place. Wasn't one of the rules for this tour de farce that it would stop at every Tim Hortons. So why did his speechwriter blog today that for the first time in two weeks they stopped at a Tims, but had no timbits. Iggy had black coffee with sugar. Was that a lie or an exaggeration.
The ATV ride was not the first time a PM did something on the spur of the moment and made up the rule. Remember JC making the rule that he could strangle a protester. I prefer PMSH's rule.
Message to iggy, you will never be elected as PM of Canada. And you will not be anointed as PM. We have rules about that in Canada.

what "rule" are we talking about here anyway?

as far as i know... all you need to drive an atv on public lands around here is a regular driver's license.

is it different where iggy lives... they have a special atv qualification? and professor snooty knows all about that?

seriously?

i'm guessing the prime minister has a driver's license... unlike, say... a goodly number of the residents of tuktoyaktuk.

this is the dumbest thing i've heard all week.

maybe iggy should just stick to passing the gray poupon.

If it had been Dion it would still be ok as he doesn't drive a car. But, no license is needed for an ATV. Giggles has not let it be known she had no clue and was trying to ask a serious question. Like another ctv guy asking why he was late for a photo op.
