Where is Sgt John Payne's apology?

Look, I know it's been a while since I was last in school... but have they actually stopped teaching history?

-- "Get that letter to my mother. I will meet you all in Winnipeg." -- Unfortunately, the 23-year-old soldier was recaptured and summarily beheaded.
If the Allies had had the atomic bomb 5 years earlier... how many lives could have been saved?

You start a war, Tojo... you just gotta take your lumps.

RELATED: Yeah... a humane war...

a10 ammo...that could happen.

FROM THE COMMENTS: "Release the Sharpton!!!"
"I guess in your world view that non-whites are a monolith."
Way to go, nonny... this time you did it without actually using the word "Nazi".

You've just gotta love the compassionate, intellectual left.

Thanks for reminding us that the citizenry of the nuked Japanese cities (including all of their children and old folks) got exactly what they deserved.

Anonymous..total war is not pretty, but the historical reality is that it happened.

We can never change that and while the civilian casualties of any war are regrettable, the two detonations effectively ended the war in the Pacific and crushed Japanese militarism.

Never forget that the total war was not of our invention but of the enemy.

oh yeah... i forgot... japan was the only country in ww2 that sustained civilian casualties...

"How about a minute of silence for the 10 million victims of Japanese imperialism and military aggression?"

"How about 30 seconds of thought for the 100 million people they enslaved in their 'East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere'?"

go back & read slower, peace moonbeam... that's why they call it war... and not "circle of friends".

Nuking an entire city was a shmeful, sinful act. The laws of war require warriors to fight against warriors and to destroy objects that have provide a military advantage. There was no value in killing a million people in a city. They were civilians, not warriors. There was no damage done to the Japanese military by killing these innocents.

I thought the Conservative Party was about protecting life. To prevent crime. This was a mass murder with no legal justification.

I am shocked you would suugest otherwise. I guess in your world view that non-whites are a monolith.

I have never ever heard of a Japanese apology for the grief and beastiality they committed in that war. We confined some Japanese during the war and apologised for that but where is the Jap apology.

I use our 1940's and 1950's shortened term for them on purpose. They have never accepted their culpability for their war of conquest and have never apologised for their viscious treatment of us, their enemies.

ah yes, nonny... you "guess", do you? the inevitable pathetic playing of the race card... the last refuge of the lunatic leftbot.

try reading a history book or two & and then see if your sharpton-esque world view doesn't seem a tad simplistic.
