Yeah... I'm just not so sure this is gonna...

...start the healing...

“It's about this particular mosque called the Cordoba Mosque. It's about being at ground zero."

"It's about being spearheaded by an imam who has associated himself with radical Islamic causes and has made comments that should chill every single American, frankly.”
Next time you're sitting around with some Muslim friends... try floating your big dream of a Catholic outreach centre just outside the Gates of Mecca.

I dare you.

Looks like a lot of Crocodile feeding going on in the comments at the Globe.
Not surprising but very disheartening.
However i think the debate is far from over.

there's a multi-donominational chapel included in the plans.you didn't mention that. hate to tell you this but the moozlims are here to stay. get used to it. as a muslim, i'm no more responsible for 9/11 than you are for the louisiana purchase. deal with it.

ever been to israel? try opening your shop on the sabbath in the more devout parts of jerusalem and see how far you get.

Hamed
Muslims are responsible for 15,771 deadly terrorist attacks since 9/11.
Deal with it.

"hamed says... the moozlims are here to stay. get used to it."

hey... that sounds strikingly familiar... "we're here, we're queer... get used to it".

and, guess what... just like the in-your-face naked parade every year... you're not gonna make any friends by being pushy & obnoxious.

tell me hamed... how do you, as a "moozlim" feel about 9/11?

do you condemn the vicious, indiscriminate terror tactics of the taliban?

and finally... do you appreciate the emotional impact of constructing this building at ground zero?

and no... those aren't rhetorical questions.
