Bright lights, big city...

...another dead teenager...
Toronto police say the teenager whose body was pulled from the Humber River on Friday has been identified as Andrew Dowden, 17. He had been shot and dumped in the water.

Dowden was Toronto's eighth male homicide victim under the age of 20 this year. There have been 33 homicides so far this year.
No word yet... from Mayor Miller's office... which gun club the shooters belonged to.

Not only was Adrian Ducas’ alleged killer out on bail for firearms charges at the time of his shooting murder but he was also on a second release after breaching conditions of his first release.

Long before 17-year-old Ducas was bleeding to death on the gymnasium floor of the Malton Community Centre July 3, the justice system had Christopher “Shakes” Raphael in its grasp and let him go. Twice.

LAST WORD: More Jane St. mayhem
Homicide detectives believe murder victim Nate Thompson was lured to his brazen and brutal death. The 26-year-old father of five young girls doesn't live in the area he was killed and according to his family, has no connection to the complex.

Thompson, who was unemployed but did some deejaying, has had contact with police "but nothing to suggest this should have happened to him," Browne said.
