Now that's a little disappointing

I watch the news every night, but I must have missed the part where Stephen Tsar-per slaughtered all the hapless peasants...
When the Cossacks rode with their sabers into the demonstrators in St. Petersburg in 1905, the survivors wailed, "If only the Tsar knew what's going on!"

Canadians in 2010 can't indulge in such self-deception. Our government, and the governments of our guests at the G8 and G20, know very well what's going on.
Seriously... who writes this melodramatic, unapologetic horsepucky?

I thought Trotsky died a long time ago.

Mr. Reis says he walked out of his gym at Yonge and Dundas and into “a post-apocalyptic nightmare, with all these little punks running around throwing bricks through windows and wielding bats.”

He happened to be standing next to the Bell store, by College Street, when an object shattered the window. Then he saw a man run in and pick out a BlackBerry.

The 17-second video shows Mr. Reis shouting out “What are you doing?” as he takes down the culprit, and then pulls him to his feet, and shoves him on. “Don’t steal,” he yells at him.

The tackle video has been watched more than one million times on YouTube. Bell Canada has offered to reward Mr. Reis with a smartphone and a $1,000 donation to a charity of his choosing.
Well done, my friend.
