In a letter sent to the organization, the agency says the society failed to maintain control over its use of funds, improperly issued tax receipts on behalf of third parties and provided funding to people outside Canada who were not entitled to a donation.
Where are the criminal charges for
aiding & abetting a terrorist group?
This funding included $713,000 provided to another organization that the CRA believed was operating as part of the support network for the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, a group on Canada's official list of terrorist organizations.
