Actually, Savannah...

...your amazing pal was just a hair away from killing four of his friends... and he might still end up being an organ donor...

"He's a crazy, fun, athletic, smart and outgoing kid," Savannah Somers said. --
You know what... I'll give you crazy... but's let give credit where credit is due.

It's the middle of the night, you steal a car and almost smoke four of your friends... this one's on you.

Amazingly enough... this article actually lets Xbox off the hook...
"If kids were so prone to violent and criminal behaviour because of video games, we wouldn't be able to leave our homes," he said, explaining the streets would be rife with teens shooting at everyone and smashing cars."
Unfortunately, it doesn't even wave a token finger in the direction of personal responsibility.

This kid survives... his first stop after rehab should be lockup.

UPDATE: In other feisty teenager news
A 17-year-old boy was shot dead outside an Ajax church early Friday.

The shooting happened around 1:20 a.m. in the parking lot outside St. Nedela Macedonian Orthodox Church near Bayly St. W. and Westney Rd., Durham Regional Police said.

Around 100 people were at a party in the church basement when an argument broke out between several men in the parking lot, police said.

The argument ended when the unidentified teen was shot.
Yeah... I'll bet.

UPPERDATE: One dead, one paralyzed

DOAOne passenger in Scarborough crash dies... one may be paralyzed from neck down.

Where is the driver? Not in jail is my guess.

I'm confused, Neo, wasn't it a 15-year-old who was driving while everyone in intensive care is 16? My read is that the driver is relatively unhurt.

"According to Wikipedia, drifting is a driving technique in which the driver intentionally oversteers, causing a loss of traction in the rear wheels through turns, while maintaining control at a high speed. A car is drifting when the front wheels are pointing in the opposite direction to the turn."

Trying that in a Pontiac Sunfire .... not a high percentage move.

frances... you were right...

Alfred was ejected from the back left passenger seat of a Pontiac Sunfire police said was being driven by a 15-year-old boy when the car rolled behind Cedarbrae Mall early July 18.

He was taken off life-support at Sunnybrook hospital Friday.

sadly, though... this kid was no cherry...

Four days before the collision, Alfred wrote on Facebook that he “took turns” driving with a friend while the Ontario Provincial Police “was right beside us when we were coming off the 401, pretty scary when your with a 15 year old in a car with police.”

The friend he was referring to replied with: “Lolz fun shit but yo I almost shit my self once I saw da cops lolz.”

live and don't learn.
