Maybe, just maybe... it's time to get serious with violent criminals.
Here's a thought... take away their smokes, their computers, their weight piles & visitors... and make these assholes earn them back an inch at a time. Anybody who doesn't get with the program can have a "time out" down in solitary.

LOL You just made my day, that's hilarious!
I personally believe that we need to build some more jails and fill them, but (1) this prison is actually a remand center, meaning everybody in there is awaiting trial and (2) Quebec prisons stopped allowing tobacco some time ago, which IIRC caused a couple of prison riots. Otherwise I tend to think along the same lines you do.
