Dalton McGuinty sure...

...loves our planet...

-- Sept. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Ontario Power Generation, the government-run owner of about 70 percent of the province’s generating capacity, will close four coal-fueled generators next year to reduce pollution.

The closures will come up to four years before a plan to shift away from coal to reduce emissions that contribute to global warming, acid rain and smog. Some units may be converted to burn biomass such as wood waste.
Oh sorry... that should have read... "loves to talk" about saving the planet...
The Liberals had originally promised Ontario would stop burning coal to generate electricity by 2007, and had to push that deadline back more than once to 2014.
I hear he won't raise your taxes either.

Canadians should read the fine-print on the BullFrog website for the "GREEN" power that many Businesses now boast about using.

Seems that Ontario has reclassified Nuclear Power as really bad for the Earth and then allowed Hydro-Electric dam power to Go-Green as less harmfull than Nuclear.

What a scam, maybe this is how Toronto and Ontario claim that Crime is down because they pick Murder as the benchmark to exclude from all other crimes which are now deemed passive acts of violence.

"anon says... Ontario has reclassified Nuclear Power as really bad for the Earth"

wait until ontario has another 3-day province wide blackout (this time, say... in the middle of winter)... because dalton has been pissin' around on building sadly needed generation capacity for his last two terms.

we'll see how "sustainable" premier mcslippery feels then.

Liberal voters won't mind sitting around and freezing in the dark if they have enough batteries to listen to Dalton 'comforting' them on the radio.

Dalton's friends will be on the first airliners going south with the money they took from your paycheques when the power goes out.
