Worth fighting for?

I wonder what Aqsa Parvez would say...

In the span of about one year, the 15-year-old, named Sitara, has been yanked out of school, off a path that hinted at promise, and sold by her father for 700,000 Afghanis (about $15,000) into a marriage that, already, she has “nothing left for.”
Meet the women that Michael Ignatieff and Jack Layton are willing to forget about... then tell me all about the compassionate, intellectual left.

I dare you.

I've yet to ever see a rational explanation from the left about how its supposed to work: we abandon Afghans to the darkest of the Dark Side, and this is better...how?

Oh, I get it. Canada and the West will use its social superiority (although the left, of course, tries to iron that out of existence due to moral equivalency) to lean on the Taliban to just STOP IT and move into at least the last millennium (can't move too fast: have to go from 600 AD to 1200 AD first....

Corrupt Liberals and their obtuse friends in the NDP really don't care about people, they are a power-hungry bunch who admire forms of government that have power over people - the more absolute, the better.

"jag says... will use its social superiority"

yup... what some people fondly refer to as "soft power"... which, at the risk of bringing freud into the conversation, is about as useful as a soft penis.
