With Ig having poured the blood in the water I asked (for the thirty millionth time) a Toronto area Liberal and former denizen of the Hill whether he agreed with the idea that in order for the Grits to overcome the problems inherent in vote splitting on the left they needed to explore the possibility of an entente cordiale with the NDP.**********
And that perhaps Bob Rae might be the right man for that job.

HA! To Warren Kinsella and the Liberals...you got hoodwinked!...Harper's speech was recorded ON purpose and released to the media...It's a GREAT campaign ad...put on...free of charge...not having to be paid for by the Conservative party.
I love how the media and liberals were stupid enough to release a tape of Harper being concerned about the Coalition. That's free advertising for something 75% of Canadians don't want.
I hate how the media is doing their best to dispel any concept of a Coalition. There is no doubt in my mind that the Liberals will not tolerate being in opposition for too long. If there is another minority they will join with the NDP and Bloc to make something. It is actually a good political move that once the screaming is over, will result in the same thing that happened in Ontario those years ago.
Ah Iggy, how soon he forgets. It is a little more complicated then that. Dion would have been PM until a new leader was chosen, and we can be sure that Boob Rae would have had a lot more to run for with a Coalition in the make. After all he has experience in this. There would have been no sweet anointing...
Doug Finley and Gerstein should send a thank you card to Tetreault, the guy who 'spied' on PMSH. He just saved the CPC a truckload of cash. The speech by Prime Minister Harper is better than some of the campaign stuff that comes from CPC HQ.

the cbc and the rest of the canadian media are practically an arm of the liberal party.
and, apparently, the majority of the sheeple just love being herded.
