Remember the big sell where O stated that the public should have access to the same plan as Senators & members of Congress; well the politicians don't see it that way.

Also here is himself with the statement that abortion would not be 'mandated' under healthcare reform, though 'mandated' may be a deliberate obfuscation.....I read this as "covered by".

There is a story that the planned changes won't kick in til 2013...so why the rush in ramming it through now?
I stand corrected, I was wrong in asuming that what O meant was 'no abortions paid for by the public plan', he has been clear that there would not be tax-dollars spent on abortions but that the public plan (which folks could opt to buy) would cover abortions.
There is a misconception that the 'public option' means free healthcare insurance.
