Bob Rae is now truly a Liberal
It's a sombre rite of passage for aspirants to Liberal Party greatness... the dark moment when you sell your soul to the devil.
But it couldn't have hurt that Rae defended Volpe's honour, offering public praise Thursday for Volpe's character and long service to the party.To this point in time, I had always thought of this guy as a misguided, but basically honest man. That all changed in an instant.
Drink all you want tonight, Bobby... nothing is gonna get that taste out of your mouth.

I missed that one. I too thought Rae we essentially a well educated, but misguided fool. Now that he's gotten on his knees for a turd like Volpe he's lost any credibility he ever had.
It never ceases to amaze me how cheaply these guys will sell whatever name they spent a lifetime building.
i suspect most of the tactical moves were orchestrated by rae's brother john... the backroom power broker from power corporation.
still... it's near impossible to get back your integrity after you sell it so cheaply.
