A young man was killed when shots rang out on a quiet residential street in the city's west end Monday. Toronto Police say they responded to a call for "the sound of gunshots" on Winona Dr., northeast of Oakwood Ave. and St. Clair Ave. W., around 3:30 p.m.No word yet, from Mayor Miller's office... on which gun club the shooters belonged to.
Police have identified the victim as Mitchell Leton Celise, 17, of Toronto.
"There was an exchange of gunfire," Bott said, explaining at least two guns were involved in the incident.

At a news conference Tuesday afternoon Toronto police revealed that the investigation not only identified members of the Falstaff Crips and Five Point Generalz but that members of the notorious Jamaican gang, the Shower Posse, as allegedly controlling these gangs in Toronto.More gangbangers with illegal handguns... what a shock.

Root Cause #1: not enough jail time.
Neo,there has been some horrific stories here in Man this week.An 80 yr old man beaten in a home-invasion in Selkirk (just N of Wpg)..beaten so bad,he DIED next day.
At a convenience store in Wpg, the 50 yr old female clerk was held up..stabbed in the neck..arrested for this,A 14 YR OLD BOY,AND A 10 YR OLD!! The 14 yr old is locked up,the 10 yr old,sent home with the parents..who I assume are fine upstanding Christians. NOT.
This is just making me crazy.These 'kids' need to be locked up.
On CPAC tonite(RevuePolitique),the question asked of a Bloc member,'what's the purpose of jails in Canada?' The female Bloc MP is dead set against jailing these young criminals..and that is what is wrong with this country..people like that,parties that hold these views holding up crime bills.They just don't get it.
