Canada's very own Greece...

...in the making...

In light of the fact that Quebec received $8.6 billion in equalization payments in 2010-11 out of a total equalization pot of $14.4 billion, it's safe to say that citizens in Canada's "have" provinces -- British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario -- are paying for Quebecers' early retirement, as theirs is the only province which has such a generous, early retirement benefit.

In other words, equalization is not very equal.
Wake up, Canada... and smell the multiculturalism.

One people... one law.

Hey, I can dream.

Ontario is no longer a "Have" province.

Dulton has killed its economy ans continues to kick and mutilate the corpse while it is on the ground.

great post - this should be front and center headlines on a daily basis - the ROC pays 8.6 billion annually to La Belle Province, to be continually insulted, laughed at, and lectured to. Couple that with the annual billion tossed to the CBC for much of the same, put it towards the deficit - and POW , our books would be balanced in a heartbeat, and we all may enjoy some peace
