After a futile check with several hospitals, the Mississauga woman had to be airlifted to Buffalo for emergency surgery.
King is one of thousands of Ontario patients who are sent to the U.S. for health care — at a price to the taxpayer of more than $100 million a year, according to the Ministry of Health.

Funny how no one complained about our universal health care system say up until roughly 15 years ago; or even 10 years ago. Would you have entertained Americanizing our health care system even then? I seriously doubt it.
That incident wouldn't have happened in America's corporate health care system? It probably would have.
Don't like our public health care? Go to a private clinic and cut up your provincial health card. Problem solved.
What? you won't do that because you pay taxes to that? Tough! We pay into old age pension funds, Canada Pension funds, etc; and most of us will never retire.

Billions on giant fans that won't spin on low wind speed days. On windy days OPG has to throttle back Niagara Falls power generation to allow the wind power into the system to keep it from being overloaded. Hydro power is the only type that can react fast enough to the fluctuations in wind. Not a single gram of carbon has ever been saved by wind. Dalty Lyin' McGoofy is easily the stupidest human to ever hold power.
