Now you see it...

...now you don't...

In an interview, he said the change with the health sector doesn’t make any material difference to government because the province would collect the increased tax anyway.

But a March 22 briefing note written for the health authorities shows the fledgling agency was hastily restructured in large part because of the coming tax change.

The backlash is fueled by the timing of the tax shift. Prior to the provincial election last April, the B.C. Liberals denied they were considering the HST. But two months after winning re-election, Mr. Hansen announced B.C. would harmonize its sales tax with Ottawa.
Remember, folks... friends don't let friends vote Liberal.

You are right, friends don't let friends vote liberal.
Why are AB lawyers now accused of negligence instead of fraud, could it be that a lot of them have ties to the liberals.

The point should be made that BC Liberals are not LPC Liberals nor are they affiliated with them. Essentially, they are Social Credit on steroids. They are not really as crooked as the LPC but they are arrogant beyond belief. The only opposition they have in BC is an incredibly inept NDP party so the Libs just do what they want. Regardless of what the people want. The HST is a prime example.

Once again, BC Liberals are not Liberals. Hello.

If you call yourself a Liberal then don't be surprised when people think that you are a Liberal and that all Liberals are the big nanny state interventionist tax and spend jerks.

I believe one cannot join the Liberal Party of Canada (LPC). One most join a provincial Liberal Party which provides automatic membership in LPC.

I could be wrong as I would rather rip my own ears off than join either.

oh, man... it's sure gonna be awfully embarrassing when they realise they're gonna have to change all their signage & stationary, huh?

I am just saying, BC politics is different. Ideologically the "Liberals" here are more like the CPC. Did you ever wonder why the CP is pretty much absent out here? I am not trying to make trouble, just saying you should be on the Liberals side when you talk about BC.

"rob budde says... you should be on the Liberals side when you talk about BC"

yeah, robbie... stephen harper & hedy fry... they're practically identical twins.

well... except for hedy having that delusion about seeing "burning crosses" all over the place.

Holy fuck! Are you thick or what? Hedy Fry? She's a federal MP asshat. Rob's point is that the federal party and the provincial party are entirely different. The centrist right leaning option in BC is the Liberal PArty. If you knew anything about BC's politics, you'd get that. Mind your own business Ontario boy.

"another anonymous troll advances his compassionate, intellectual point of view... Holy fuck! Asshat."

sorry, my potty-mouthed little friend... they're all self-proclaimed Liberals... you don't get to cherrypick the ones you proclaim as normal.

and like yourself... and my biggest fan "liberal supporter"... they each... in their own special way... contribute to that infamous liberal brand.

p.s. -- if hedy fry is your baseline for a "good liberal"... you're smokin' too much of bc's best known export.
