Yeah... you can just "feel the honour"

Looks like there's a bit of a speedbump in the road to... implementing Sharia Law... in Ontario...

Minutes earlier, the jury returned a verdict of guilty on two counts of first-degree murder against 23-year-old Sadiqi, who gunned down his 20-year-old sister, Khatera, and her fiancé, Feroz Mangal, 23, in the early hours of Sept. 19, 2006 while the couple was sitting in her parked car.

Prosecutor Mark Moors said Sadiqi was motivated by a “perverted notion of honour and respect … for the sole purpose of restoring the family’s reputation and respect in the Afghan community.”

RELATED: A little background

LAST WORD: The heart of the matter
“Your crimes have shocked and bewildered the people of 'almost every community' in the nation’s capital,” said Ontario Superior Court Justice Douglas Rutherford.
That, of course, prompts the logical follow-up...
"Only 'almost' every community?"

"Does this imply that somewhere out there exists a community that more or less approves of this barbaric murder?"
That's the $64,000 question isn't it?

Still he is still alive and they are both dead. He will probably be out in ten years or sooner if he is taken up by some brothers as a political prisoner.

"anon says... Still he is still alive and they are both dead." --

more than that, my friend... i imagine this guy is a hero to the staunch islamists in the community.

ask yourself... if this guy would brutally murder his own muslim sister... what would he do to someone he perceives as a dirty infidel dog?

all it takes apparently... is something like a cartoon.

He got 25. That means he will not be eligible for parole until he has served 25 years of a potential life sentence. And likely, he won't get out then, as he will likely be unrepentant.

kai... my understanding is that every tom, dick and sadiqi is entitled to a "faint hope clause" hearing at 15 years.

i mean, isn't he gonna have massive community support... just like omar khadr?
