I guess Christine Elliott...

...hasn't actually read Ezra's new book...

"Why on earth would we want to expose ourselves by plunging recklessly into such a controversial issue?" said the 53-year-old Whitby lawyer, who is married to federal Finance Minister Jim Flaherty.
Hey Christine, how about... because it's the right thing to do?
Ezra Levant's Shakedown, and his three-year advocacy, have been the "blast of the trumpet" against this trespass. And we should be grateful for his effort. Support him, too. Buy the book.

"Does Christine Elliott support the tribunal or is she playing politics to distort Randy Hillier's and Tim Hudak's positions. Christine tell us if you support the tribunal and paying the salary of Barbara Hall."

This is the kind of attitude that defines a lousy politician. Doing something because it's the right thing to do isn't part of today's vocabulary anymore.

Read Christine Elliott's speeches and watch the videos on her website. She's a red Tory.

How else could she justify keeping a broken and corrupt HRC?

I doubt she even believes that her flat tax is the right thing to do, either. $50 says she never even implements this, if she became Premier.

Elliott is already backing off her flat tax proposal. She said on TV (I think it was Goldhawk Live) a few days ago that she would keep the surtax.

Keeping the ORHC, backing away from the flat tax? Now Christine is starting to show her real stripes.

after reading ezra's book "shakedown"... i don't know how anyone, left or right, could possibly argue for the so called "rights tribunals".

Until now, I haven't seen anyone actually defend the Ontario "Human Rights" Tribunal. I certainly wouldn't expect a conservative to do so. Let alone a conservative running for leader of the party !!! Does Christine Elliott support the tribunal or is she playing politics to distort Randy Hillier's and Tim Hudak's positions. Whatever the case may be she really needs to cut it out. Christine tell us if you support the tribunal and paying the salary of Barbara Hall.

boy... i'm not sure which of these positions i find more disturbing... a flawed idealogy or a willingness to try skew her rivals positions?

either way, christine just lost any possibility of getting my vote.

Elliott is not my first choice for leader anyway but I have to agree with keeping the HRC discsussion somewhat low key until it can be framed in a politically correct manner. First debates should be on the economy and law & order issues.
Being against Human Rights (commissions) is not the tool we need to hand the Liberals. John Tory was probably "right" about separate schools but allowing the Liberals to frame it first made it impossible to explain or sell.

davey... even if that were true... christine elliott is wrong to use it to club fellow conservatives over the head.

i'll go with hudak's principled stand any day of the week.
