I am atheist...

...because I don't believe in faith, which I believe is the common dogma shared by traditional religion and secularized religions.

This means that my atheism is somewhat foggy; because you can't prove that there isn't a God any more than you can prove that there is one, both are un-testable.

By railing against God, especially the Christian God, these authors are missing the real target, faith.

Since it is unprovable and you say you cannot test it either way.....doesn't that mean you are an agnostic?

Dawkins says that not picking a side(God or no God), by fence sitting , one is in actuallity a coward.

I believe the opposite a Athiestic and Thiestic world provide a sureness and a stableness that is based on faith that is ultimately intellectually dishonest.

The brave act is to always question and to always to admit that ultimately we know nothing...to live without assumptions, without cosmological walls that give life coherence is true bravery...

agnostic 4 life

"agnostic says... always to admit that ultimately we know nothing"

that's certainly difficult to dispute.

i believe that driving my speeding car into a tree will quite likely precipitate my demise.

since i'm not, at this moment, actually prepared to prove that particular hypothesis... i suppose i must needs live with the resultant particle of doubt.

that is, i suppose, the human condition.

"nonny-mouse aka "liberal supporter" again wails... 'sorry if ask asking tough questions politely is an offence here'"

c'mon, nonny, don't be dishonest... you didn't want to engage in actual debate... your purpose was, as you yourself stated, was simply to annoy.

why should i try to have a conversation with anyone whose self-admitted goal is just to be a pebble in my shoe?
