Belleville City Council decides to...

...lubricate & stimulate... the, er... economy...

A former strip club in the city's east end may get a second lease on life thanks to a decision made by council regarding the municipality's adult entertainment bylaw pending provincial licensing approval.

Prior to discussing the bylaw, however, council heard from brothers Carlos and Robert Moniz, current owners of Doc's Palace. The pair told council they recently signed a lease with a Russian businessman who has plans of renovating and reopening the Station Street location.
Apparently... you can never have too many strippers.

Yeah I got off the train in Belleville one time and heard what I thought was a ping pong tournament going on across the street at a place called Doc´s. Upon the required investigation, it wasn´t a tournament at all, but rather a wildly playful tour de force named Mitzi.
I´ve never looked at a ping pong ball (or a dancer) the same way since.

well... they've had a spot of bad luck in the past... i think mitzi must have been doing something with flaming bowling pins... the place almost went up in smoke a couple of times.

Russian businessmen. Strippers. Public dough. What could go wrong?

on the bright side... i'm guessing this "experienced" russian businessman isn't gonna have any calamitous, deal-breaking personnel issues.
