Ask a Sawbones

Attended another lecture, event. Was reminded of these survival facts: Return to spontaneous circulation post cardiac arrhythmia out of hospital in Toronto 5%. Return to spontaneous circulation post cardiac arrhythmia out of hospital in Phillidelphia, Seattle, 30%.

Reason? US cities invest in Automated Defibrillator devices to be carried in police cruisers and used by police officers. The average response time to events by police are about 3-5 minutes, which is within the rescuable time of a cardiac arrhythmia of this nature.

Money well spent…

As I have said before there is a reason outcomes in the US health care system are better than those of the Canadian system. To Obama and all his minions I say this, “If you can prove you can fix the current Medicaid/Medicare system then and only then shall you be allowed to touch private health care.”

'Un-insured' Americans have faster access to better health care than any Canadian, except for rich Liberals.

after we moved here from toronto, it took us 6 years to get on with a family doctor.

that meant the hospital emergency room every time one of us was sick.

try sitting in an e.r. for over 7 hours with a sick, fevered child on your lap... then sing me the praises of the amazing canadian medical system.

But, but Canada is sooo good at getting that boogey-strawman under control:
We get vaccines for EVERYTHING!!!

Kinda keeps our minds of Defib machines and doctors, and MRI machines too, right?

I see three or four of you guys every shift.

I seem to recall Boob Rae having the bright idea that if we trained less doctors health care costs would go down... cannot wait for when the brain dead electorate choose him for PM.

i trust the socialists about as far as i can throw them...

"So... twenty months and 2 million privately raised dollars later, the McGuinty Liberals have yet to get back to the hospital board about this lifesaving piece of equipment."
