If you build it...

...they will swarm...

The city should refrain from camping prohibitions until housing, support and health care are in place, according to the umbrella group, comprising Committee to End Homelessness, Harm Reduction Victoria, the Society of Living Intravenous Drug Users and the Victoria Coalition Against Poverty.
Yeah... "camping".

I guess that's how the the "Society of Living Intravenous Drug Users" kick back after a long day at the orifice.

Are you telling me that, instead of fighting gridlock out of the city to get to a good camping site, I can just put my tent up somewhere in High Park?

I mean, I'd have to label myself homeless, but it would save some time, and considering the "fee" the Province charges, a bit of money as well...

Oh, no, don't want to panhandle.

I just don't want to get stuck in traffic for three hours, then pay for a campsite, then realize that said campsite is within hearing distance of someone who thinks 4am karaoke is a good idea. Bit of a waste of energy.

So, I think I'll just camp out in High Park and wait for the bylaw officers. I'll declare myself homeless (nobody really seems to check on this) and save myself some time, energy and money. Hell, I'm sure the city has a program, so I might even make a profit!
