In other "my beads are holier..."

..."than your beads" news...

-- Atheists, agnostics most knowledgeable about religion, survey says -- Report says nonbelievers know more, on average, about religion than most faithful. Jews and Mormons also score high on the U.S. Religious Knowledge Survey.

Stephen Prothero, a professor of religion at Boston University and author of "Religious Literacy: What Every American Needs to Know — And Doesn't," served as an advisor on the survey.

"I think in general the survey confirms what I argued in the book, which is that we know almost nothing about our own religions and even less about the religions of other people."

Tsk, tsk. How the atheist grasps at straw men to help him deny his ingrained knowledge of God. None is too poor or ignorant to know the inner peace that comes from accepting a Creator and Christ - on one's own terms of course. Look, as I did in my atheist days, at the notable people who profess faith in God and if you let down your guard even you might see (here it comes) the light. You have nothing to lose but your Nihilism.

Wow!

Those Professors know everything about everything and they're never wrong either. Where were these guys from again? Was it East Anglia?

Putting all sarcasm aside, this is complete bunk. I can smell the stench of ideology from here.

Well, this has been my experience, on my journey from Catholic altar boy with an eye to studying religion, to born-againism (hey, it was the 80s and some of were pretty sure Ronnie was gonna drop the big one on the Ruskies...), to learned agnostic.

Which is where I'm probably going to stay. Atheists (and Canadian Cynic is a perfect example) are a bit too "null" for my taste.
