What's a little cultural relativism...

...between friends?...
stoop and scoop

"There was also 'excrement in places it shouldn't be', thought to be a result of labourers relieving themselves in the homes, while Scottish officials are reported to have photographed a stray dog defecating on a bed."

UPDATE: Send in the clowns...

...er... the untouchables...
New Zealand became the latest country to defer travel for its team, which was scheduled to reach Delhi on Sunday. Like Scotland and Canada, which have also postponed travel, New Zealand cited hygiene and safety concerns.
Meanwhile... back at the ranch...

And the Indian officials had the gall to say that maybe its our fault because we have far too high standards!

Disgusting is disgusting no matter how you look at it...

"anon says... we have far too high standards!"

like i said... "cultural relativism".

who hasn't seen the pictures of dead bodies being burned on the banks of the river ganges. where do you think the, uh... "remains"... go after that?

hey.. you feelin' thirsty now?

compare & contrast... most canadians aren't even allowed to burn leaves anymore.

at least they offered up a reason here... mrs neo was listening to an indian official being interviewed on the cbc this morning... he simply said the media coverage was a pack of lies... and that everything was fine.

Who gave India these games.
Maybe the G20/G8 protesters should be sentenced to serve their time in the Indian facilities for the athletes to see what horrible conditions are.
Imagine if that bridge collapsed with our people on it.

"maryt says... sentenced to serve their time in the Indian facilities"

sounds like being sentenced to serve their time in indian society would be punishment enough.

To think that Malaysia in 1998, a small 15 million Muslim-majority one-party state - showed up a 1 billion democratic behemoth that can get into space!

Two hiccups with Malaysia's 1998 Games, though - booing Singapore as their team entered the stadium and the Kuala Lumpur pro-democracy riots 2 weeks later.
