Yeah... it pretty much is
Sorry, it just won't wash...
"This is a not a fight isolated to the black community exclusively," Stokes said in a press release yesterday promoting a march on Sunday. Now, I won't presume to speak for anyone else in Hastings & Prince Edward County... but in my neighbourhood, there is absolutely no evidence of an epidemic of Mongol-like hordes of disaffected youth running around shooting their peers.
"Rather this effects all community across Canada."
"I mean all."
This is clearly a question of what to do about the "culture of neglect and violence" that is endemic to the largely immigrant inner city "urban jungles."
And you can march til the last silly leftbot drops dead from dehydration and it won't change a damn thing.

Exactly, neo.
IMO, it's just more of the same evasion of personal responsibility and passing the buck.
There are serious moral and sociological issues at play in the communities in question.
I suppose what they're really saying is that we who live in the "urban jungle" have to be wary because bullets don't always hit the intended target. A ill-aimed bullet isn't likely to freeze mid-air upon the realization that the flesh it's about to enter is not gang-affiliated.
Those of us who live close to the crossfire have an interest in the violence disappearing, even if our kids are not directly involved.
That said, it's difficult to add your voice when you're white, because there's this sense that you get from people that you're trodding on ground that doesn't belong to you. They want it to be a 'shared' problem and a 'shared' solution, but then they tell you that you couldn't possibly understand because you're white.
The only thing they want a share of from "Whitey" is their Guilt and most importantly, their money

"Canadi-anna said... bullets don't always hit the intended target"
precisely.
and that's the largest part of why we bailed on toronto six years ago.
we weren't willing to feed my son into the inner city public school meatgrinder... and the attendant risk of harm.
i wouldn't even bet ten bucks on the stanley cup race... never mind bet my child's life.
never regretted it for a second.
and this politically correct publicity stunt will be about as useful as sacrificing virgins to a volcano.
but i guess it feels all warm and fuzzy... until the next senseless murder.

one last word about relative risk... just remember, somebody always wins the lottery.

Black people sure do hate each other.
Neo, have you been to Marmora lately?
If you see an overweight corpse floating down the Moira River tomorrow do me a favour and make sure the ambulance attendants don't steal my wallet.
