-- SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. -- A Northern Ontario woman told a judge that she'd rather go to jail than quit her drug habit. "I like my lifestyle," Krystal Hart, 25, told Ontario Court Justice Kristine Bignell in a Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., courtroom.I've said it before... it's time to establish the Baffin Island Penal & Real World Rehab Centre.
No more computers, weight piles, social workers, sweat lodges, culturally friendly meals... or drug rehab programmes. If you have a yen for it, your drug of choice will be delivered to your cell... daily. Expect the crack & heroin problem to take care of itself in short order... just think "Darwin".
At some point, if you decide to return to the field of folk, you will require 6 months of clean urine testing to qualify.
Violent offenders will get special "correctional" treatment... every single offense short of assault will be punished (rain, shine or blizzard) by laps around the outside perimeter of the facility.
More serious offenders will be given a tent, backpack and freeze-dried rations and told to return to the facilities at a later, warden-approved date.
It's time to stop coddling these assholes.
