I had a buddy that had a bar of this same soap. Actually he didn't have it, his dad did. He was Jewish and told me pretty much the same story that is told in the article. As far as selling it as a rare and valuable historical object, I'm not sure that I'm on side with it being a horrible thing. God knows there are many things connected with horrible moments in history, medieval torture chambers, to name one, that have a very high value and invoke great curiosity.
*"patsplace says... I'm not sure that I'm on side with it being a horrible thing"think i'm gonna have to disagree here, pat... try imagine the shitstorm if someone started selling, say... "bacon-wrapped taliban testicles"... on ebay.or yelling "bikini" in a crowded souk.*
My guess is if it were real, these two proprietors would have soon found themselves bound and gagged in the back of a VW bus and cargo on the red eye to Tel Aviv.;)
*"langmann says... on the red eye to Tel Aviv."more like halfway there... but isn't that really beside the point?i mean, holy freakin' hannibal lecter... what kind of fucked up sewer rat would think (sorry pat) marketing this soap... however fraudulent... is anywhere close to being acceptable?*
Serious idiots, really, with no sense of social norms.
