No such thing as a bad boy...

...in Belleville, Ontario...
Deputy Chief Paul Vandegraaf says officers showed up at a West end home around 3:30 in the morning for a call regarding an unwanted man.

When officers got inside the home, a 22 year old man pointed a firearm at the officer.

Fortunately, the officer was able to disarm and arrest the suspect. NO shots were fired and nobody was hurt. Police seized the man's weapons and surprisingly...released him from custody.

Deputy Chief Vandegraaf told 91X news in an email Sunday, they are not releasing the man's name because, in his words -- "There are issues that we have to be sensitive about."

He would not elaborate on what those issues were.
A request to speak with Officer Peace Moonbeam has not been answered at the time this went to press.
