Iggy doesn't need a coalition...
...the fiberals can screw Canadians just fine... all on their own...
OTTAWA — The Supreme Court of Canada says the federal government broke the law in financing the employment insurance system by transforming premiums paid by workers and employers into an unconstitutional tax.Yeah... I'm shocked.
In a 7-0 judgment, the court ruled the former Liberal governments of Jean Chretien and Paul Martin collected EI contributions illegally in 2002, 2003 and 2005.
That violated the ancient constitutional principle of no taxation without representation.
The socialist's finely-tuned political instincts are usually so spot on.

Yep. Almost what feels like 100 years ago, when I was doing my Economics degree, this shell game that Martin played to "balance" the budget was being discussed in several classes. Many professors would remark (without suprise - if any of you have ever been on the other end of a MSM interview you will learn how ignorant those talking heads actually are) that Martin had even potentially illegally used a get this: regressive tax (affecting poor more than rich) to finance government spending outside of the purview of what is legislated to be a insurance plan only.
Now suddenly the MSM is onto this!?!? Wow.
As to Iggy, I remember while in Britain a certain British person who will remain unnamed remarked to me once during Iggy's show that "Ignatief is an arrogant puss and his show is as tedious as white paint." While the MSM goes on and on about how Ignatieff is this broadcasting icon, they never mention how his ratings declined and his popularity as well.
The MSM loves this guy who has somehow managed to clamber to the top of the socialist heap. What he has actually done other than pontificate and write raunchy books while staying as far from Canada as possible remains to be seen.

@ neo: if Harper had spent 30 years of his life acting as a Brit or American eschewing Canada what do you think the MSM would be using for bylines and buzzwords? We should run a poll...
I cannot stand Iggy's arrogant puss, to borrow the term from a Brit. The guy even screwed over his own brother. The only reason he came back, in my mind, is because he was looking for a possible power role. Hopefully Canadians will wake up to his arrogance like the Brits did. His freaking 1/3 of all women being abused statement is a premonition of what is to come. The only good thing about his is his history of screwing over his socialist friends at the last minute - after being their parrot for a while.

"langman says... his history of screwing over his socialist friends at the last minute"
never mind his political pals... the guy craps all over his own family ... you don't, as they say... "need a weatherman".

Crooked Chretien authorized the theft of millions of dollars from Canadians through Adscam, more evidence of illegal acts doesn't seem to hurt the Liberal party - their supporters must be looking for some pretty big pay-offs if they can bamboozle their way into power again.
