One man was shot dead and three wounded when gunfire erupted in the stairwell of a highrise in northwest Toronto late Thursday.**********
Toronto Police said the shootings occurred in the 15th-floor stairwell of a building on Falstaff Ave., in the Jane St.-Hwy. 401 area, shortly before midnight.
Two other gunshot victims were found collapsed on the parking lot of a nearby plaza while a fourth walked into a hospital. They were taken to hospital in serious condition.
A fourth wounded man walked to hospital and is also in serious condition.
UPDATE: Latest victim identified
Nineteen-year-old Aeon Grant was taken to hospital just before midnight on Thursday with injuries stemming from a gunshot wound. He died as a result of the injuries on Friday.*
