Now... the real education begins

What wouldn't you have given, to be a fly on the wall at President-elect Obama's very first visit to the Oval Office?

-- WASHINGTON -- President-elect Obama spent just under two hours at the White House Monday as he and President Bush gathered for their first face-to-face meeting.

Neither the incoming nor the current president spoke to reporters at Mr. Obama's arrival or departure Monday afternoon.
Whaddaya figure happens when airy-fairy "hope & change"... runs into real world "smash & kill"?

Betcha it'd wipe the smile off Oprah's face.

I don't know if any of you guys saw David Emerson talking to the Duff on the day cabinet was sworn in. Anyhow they were talking about how the conservative movement needs to take back some of the buzz-words the left is able to get away with as well as be able to explain their message in concise but effective sentences.

Emerson then went on to say that guys like Jack Layton can make statements that sound impressive or caring, appeal to people, but are plain nonsense.

Kind of reminds me of Obama. Once he is in charge all his minions are going to be as disappointed as they were when Congress went democrat and nothing changed except spending increased and public support decreased. The "War in Iraq" is still on, gasoline is still powering our cars and coal is the main source of electricity, free trade still exists, and Iran hates us more than ever.

When realism attacks.

langmann...is that still up? I have been waiting along time to hear such a realistic in-your-face statement from the CPC...I'd love to see it.
Obama is going to need more than nicotine when he finally has to make a real decision, instead of saying "Present"

Dude forget that. If GW Bush had said that he just got back from visiting 57 States, they'd make an all new cable station devoted to that and play it 24 hours a day.
