Canada... land of endless opportunity
For absolutely anyone...
A fugitive sex offender was ordered extradited today accused of the brutal murder-rape of a California woman more than two decades ago.But guess what... that's just part of the story.
In 1986, Su Go pleaded guilty to assaulting and attempting to rape another woman in Costa Mesa, Calif. While on $50,000 bail on that charge, Su Go, also known as Gerald Sugo and Gerald Su, fled to his native Philippines leaving an outstanding warrant in the U.S.Turns out the Canadian government aided and abetted his escape.
In 1990, he applied for and was granted landed-immigrant status in Canada and moved to the GTA and five years later, became a Canadian citizen.Unbelievable.

Unbelievable is right! But then wasn't there a Charles Ng who also played that game for over a decade. He was also a murderer and serial rapist. Mr. Harper fix this problem!! Extradition should be 24 hours after the request for violent or drug dealing felons.
cheers Bubba
The way the Yanks got around refusing to grant a no death penalty guarentee to Canada was to essentially dare Canada to either release Ng in Canada or deport him. Since Ng was a poster boy for the death penalty we sent him back. California still hasn't seen fit to give him the needle.
