Who luvs ya, baby?
Funny how that "minority government" thing doesn't seem to be slowing down the ambitious Conservative government legislative agenda.
-- OTTAWA -- Prime Minister Stephen Harper promised "sweeping new legislation" Tuesday to protect consumers and warned that companies that care more about their profits than their customers will soon face "severe" punishment.Unlike the nanny-state fiberal yip-yap... there's actually some teeth in this new package...
The new measures come after a series of high-profile voluntary recalls of toxic toys and tainted food in the past year. Currently, Health Canada has no authority to recall products, and has to rely on companies to issue voluntary recalls.
The centrepiece of the new Consumer Product Safety Act would be the government's new power to issue a mandatory recall of any product. This includes the disclosure of confidential business information without the company's consent if there is a serious and imminent health risk.Less talk... more rock.

Put together a far reaching omnibus package containing 'wish-list' legislation; the more the better. Make it a confidence motion and ram it down the throats of the doofi libs.
If they want the PM to be a majority PM , so be it.
If not, we go to the polls and then have a majority.
It's a mixture of the Liberals and their lack of "testicular" fortitude. I, for one, love it.
Last time I seen Conservatives talking tough was before the 2006 elections in the US. So much bluster and delusional importance.
If Dion was ready for an election, we would've had one already, so it is really an impotent opposition to begin with.
I see Harper has changed the senate, exempted capital gains, eliminated the GST on gasoline (it's above $.85/l), stopped the 'Liberal attack on retirement savings and income trust funds', cut taxes, etc.
He is making a mockery of Canada's credibility like no one ever has.
Tell me all the stuff he has done in spite of opposition? LOL!

mik... still think you're full of prunes... but thanks for proofreading your comments this time... before posting.
just one question... "what exactly do you disagree with, in this particular piece of legislation?"
you didn't seem to actually tell us that here.

Watch Duffy tonight regarding the libs possibly forcing an election over immigration.
