The scary, hidden McSlippery agenda

Oops... more duplicity from the people who brought you... "I won't cut your taxes, but I won't raise them either."
The provincial government has come under fire from members of the Tibetan community and the opposition for its trip to China.

The government had tried to keep it under wraps, but Economic Development Minister Sandra Pupatello was forced to disclose during Question Period yesterday that she is travelling to Beijing, where the government plans to open a trade office next week.
Say, Dalton... got any more surprises for us?

You know... "the truth" is whatever they say it is.
A visit to the official Beijing Olympics Web site, controlled by the Chinese organizers, gives little indication of any torch relay disruption. It characterizes the demonstrators as "a small number" of Tibetan separatists.

Liu Jingmin, vice president of the Beijing organizing committee, said the Olympic torch has been "warmly welcomed by the local people" in each city.
And goodness knows... you can never have enough cheap, toxic, flimsily-made Chinese goods...
Premier Dalton McGuinty said he believes in Canada's long-standing police of engaging China when it comes to trade. The premier said he intends to keep those channels of communication open for now.
Because he's all about the communication.

Drivers are being asked to stay away from the intersection of Pharmacy and Lawrence, where police are investigating a multiple shooting.

Shots rang out around 2 pm Tuesday afternoon, sending at least two people to hospital. Reports say both victims are men. Their condition is not known, and no suspect information is available.
