Ontario government employees have been told to be “sensitive” and accommodate their Muslim co-workers during the month of Ramadan when they fast and pray from dusk to dawn, according to a confidential memo.

A document called 'Ramadan: The Muslim Month of Fasting" that was sent to Ontario public service managers and forwarded to 120,000 employees, has angered non-Muslim workers who will file a complaint alleging discrimination in the workplace.
So much for separation of Church and State... but, then again... that's how things work... in Dalton's emerging socialist paradise.

More importantly, superluminal neutrinos – or any other particles – contradict special relativity. If you could shoot superluminal neutrinos, they would move along spacelike paths in the spacetime and the Lorentz symmetry would allow you to boost the SpS a little bit so that the neutrinos would be moving backwards in time (there is no qualitative difference between spacelike paths going to the future and those going to the past).

By boosting the SpS accelerator, you could create neutrinos that would move backwards in time and you could kill your grandfather before he had his first sex with your grandmother, thus rendering your own existence needed for the homicide inconsistent with the result of the homicide.

The police watchdog says Ankur Patel, 24, approached a paid-duty officer at a construction site on Shuter Street, near the Eaton Centre, on Monday afternoon.

The SIU says Patel was shot at least once by the officer.

At 19, Pierre-Luc Dusseault made history in May by becoming Canada’s youngest-ever MP; instead of working at a golf course this summer as he’d planned, his first full-time job was representative for Sherbrooke.
Let's face it, Quebec... it IS funny.

The NDP dumps placeholder candidates into as many ridings as possible, so they can hoover up that per-vote subsidy.

Then... you lunkheads actually vote a bunch of them in... not because you believe in this perennially last-place party... but because you got suckered by a terminally-ill slickster who, as his last wish, longed desperately to poke a thumb in Stephen Harper's eye.

.

So when you see Dalton McGuinty...

...in all those election ads, strolling through those factories... touting his massive taxpayer-subsidised investment in the "green energy" industry... is there ever a moment when you ask yourself... "What if he's wrong?"

Look what happened south of the border with the Car-Salesman in Chief...
"We have incurred significant net losses since our inception, including a net loss of $114.1 million in 2007, $232.1 million in 2008 and $119.8 million in the first nine months of fiscal 2009, and we had an accumulated deficit of $505 million at Oct. 3, 2009," the company said in a December 2009 filing to the SEC.

"We expect to continue to incur significant operating and net losses and negative cash flow from operations for the foreseeable future."
And it gets even better. Even after the Whitehouse knew Solyndra was going down the shitter... all they cared about was how it was going to affect the re-election campaign.
Newly released emails show the White House was worried about the likely effect of a default by Solyndra on Obama's re-election campaign."The optics of a Solyndra default will be bad," an OMB official wrote in a Jan. 31 email to a colleague. "The timing will likely coincide with the 2012 campaign season heating up."
That's simply how politics works.

That one, Ontario... that's on you.

What's up with that? I guess all us "dumb as dogshit" hillbillies who choose not to live in the center of the universe don't deserve to bask in his august presence...
So far, NDP Leader Andrea Horwath and PC Leader Tim Hudak have confirmed they will participate in the debate, and are prepared to leave an empty chair for McGuinty.

McGuinty said thanks, but no thanks to Hudak’s offer.

He attended a repatriation ceremony a day earlier in Trenton, Ont., and missed his flight for a cruise holiday with his family.
Hmmm... if only we had some sort of measuring stick... something to compare to... wait a minute...
Between January 2006 and September 2010, Jean made 251 trips and accumulated more than 1,048 hours of flight. The bill for travel expenses totalled $2.7 million.

La Presse also notes that on eight separate occasions, Jean used government planes for personal trips including five junkets to her family home in France. She also visited Jamaica, Barbados and Mexico with her husband and their daughter.

Jean's predecessor, Adrienne Clarkson, was one who especially raised the ire of Canadians for her not-so spendthrift ways.

Clarkson's budget increased from $11 million a year to $19 million during her tenure.

-- London, ONT. -- "Liberal Leader Dalton McGuinty is challenging his chief rival to look workers employed in the province’s nascent green-energy sector directly in the eyes and tell them he is 'killing' their jobs."

"The Progressive Conservatives under Leader Tim Hudak, they argue, would jeopardize the economy’s fragile recovery by turning back the clock on progress."
Yeah... the Liberals, touting "green this" and "green that" are obviously on the side of angels here.

I mean, what could possibly go... wait a minute...
FBI agents armed with search warrants descended Thursday morning on bankrupt solar company Solynrda. Solyndra filed for bankruptcy last week, shocking both workers and the Obama administration, which had given the startup $535 million in low interest loans.

The announcement was a devastating blow to Mr. Obama who is set to deliver a speech on job creation Thursday evening.
Hey... what's a paltry $535 million dollars between friends?

Except here in Ontario... the number's what... $7,000,000,000.00?

But don't worry... this one's a lock.

Dalton promised.

"During the 36-second radio spot starring Obama, Abbas tells listeners, 'If he said it, he must have meant it.'" --
That's the way the left is billing Barack Obama, right... that he's a man of his word?

Only a knuckle-draggin', Neo-con cynic would suggest that he would promise the Pals one thing and do... wait a minute...
"The Palestinians use of the remarks is at odds with the Obama administration’s current all-out push to stop the Palestinians from pursuing their statehood bid."

Whoa, that seems a little harsh... all those rules...hobbema heats up yet againI mean... we can't dump on these folks just because they won't kowtow to our racist anglo constructs, right?

Why shouldn't Aboriginal peoples be allowed to handle this according to their age-old traditional ways?

-- TORONTO -- Three men were shot and three others suffered stab wounds in violence overnight Sunday that marred the last long weekend of the summer.

The two worst incidents — a triple shooting and a serious stabbing — happened in Scarborough not far from where a man was nearly assasinated by gunmen only 24 hours earlier.

Just watched CBC's Peter Mansbridge...

...trying... yet again... to squeeze some more blood out of the already thoroughly over-polished Layton headstone... and boy, was it one excruciatingly tedious spectacle.

Even with Mansbridge at his obsequious, softball lobbin' best, I had to look away more than once, as a painfully less-than-articulate Olivia tried to get her inner-Jack on.

I can't imagine what Mansbridge & Chow hoped to add to the already overblown mythology here... awkwardly restating the obvious... in between coyly speculating about Olivia's political prospects...more stunning rvelationsAnd, call me a Philistine... there was stuff that just went completely over my head...
"He has no fear because he knows that he can trust me. That his soul is his spirit. That when he passes on in his next journey that I will be with him."
"'His soul is his spirit'?... His 'next journey'?"

Seriously? Jack's buoyant, travelling soul... that's the next meme for this media circus?

Curiously, despite this latest round of endlessly heartfelt, nationwide "sharing"... Ms. Chow was strangely reticent about the one thing that might, at this point, be considered actual "news"... the other unnamed cancer that suddenly killed Mr. Layton.
"She would not disclose what the new cancer was, saying it might discourage others who needed to be confident that they would succeed in overcoming the disease that had claimed her husband’s life."
That's funny... the whole prostate cancer thing was loudly & repeatedly trumpeted from the rooftops and nobody gave a thought to anybody's morale. I don't get it.

Anyway... surely it's time for the media to move on here.

So c'mon, Petey... do Ms. Chow a personal (and indeed a professional) favour and take your cameras & microphones and go home.

If you won't do it for her... think of the rest of us.

What sort of a financial genius...

...can be bribed with his own money?
-- QUEENS PARK -- "Premier Dalton McGuinty and his Liberal candidates insist the shower of promises has nothing to do with the election. How anyone can say that with a straight face illustrates, among other reasons, why so few people of quality want to enter politics, and why so many people are skeptical of those who do."
I mean, c'mon folks... wake up and smell the con...
"The provincial Liberals are promising to bring back house calls from doctors IF they win the Oct. 6 election."
And what is today's taxpayer-funded goodie?
"Students from families with annual incomes of less than $160,000 would be eligible for grants of $1,600 for each year of full-time university studies, effective Jan. 1."
And, hey... it'll only cost us a paltry $486-million a year.

Hey... ya gotta have priorities... right?

There’s another interesting admission in the platform. They’ve finally discarded any pretense that all-day kindergarten is about education.

“Full-day kindergarten is saving families up to $6,500 per child per year in child care costs,” says their glitzy platform book.

So, it wasn’t about quality education after all. It’s all about free daycare.

Nasty, paranoid, warlord Stephen Harp...

"The difficulty is the next wars . . . will not be countries against countries. It will be fanaticism, extremists and perhaps financed and helped by some countries."
Hmmm, that's weird... suddenly I'm not hearing that infamous multi-culti mantra these guys are usually spouting at the drop of a hat.

But wait... it gets better...
"And this is much more complicated. Because you don't see them. They are invisible. They might be your neighbour who is, in fact, a terrorist."
Oh... my... gawd... our neighbours are terrorists?

Is that the official party line now, Jean? 'Cos that's some pretty scary stuff. Man... can you imagine the media shitstorm if even one backwater Conservative MP said something like that?

I guess it does explain why the Liberal Party of Canada rushed in the Anti-Terrorism Act in the fall of 2001... and sent all those soldiers to Afghanistan.

But, heck... they've got it all figured out, don't they...
"I think overall, Canadians think we are the good guys and, 'Who would want to hurt us? We are not like the United States.'"

"That psychological distancing, while I understand why people do it — to give themselves a sense of comfort or reassurance — is dangerous in the world in which we live."

"As Joël-Denis Bellavance reported in La Presse on Saturday, documents obtained from Canada’s Foreign Affairs Department show that the Liberal government was warned in 2003, 2004 and 2005 that torture was an ongoing practice in Afghan prisons."

"Yet Paul Martin nonetheless signed a 2005 agreement by which our soldiers would transfer detainees to Afghan custody."
The Liberal Party of Canada... they're flexible.
